Bryant’s New Book: Puddly the Penguin

Puddly-the-Penguin-book cover-40 percent

A young penguin and a young dolphin both lose their way. And find each other. But can they help each other find their way back home? Filled with humor and heart, “Puddly the Penguin” is an uplifting and inspiring story for all ages.

A few years ago, I was playing around with my guitar one night, thinking of song ideas, when a story came into my mind. I started to try to turn it into a song, but quickly realized it was much bigger than that. The next day, I went to a coffee shop, and started writing.  I worked on it off and on, and about a year later, I finished it, and moved on to other things.  About six months ago, I picked it up again, and did several more rounds of revising and editing.  The book, Puddly the Penguin, is now available through Amazon.com!, where it’s currently available for an introductory price of $4.95, or just .99 for Kindle. Over the coming weeks I’ll be working to get the word out about this story, that’s near and dear to my heart.  You can read reviews of the book, and check out the first 12 pages, on the story’s Amazon page.  If you read it and like it, please consider writing a few sentences about it or on it’s Amazon page and giving it 4 or 5 stars. That helps to spread the word. Thanks!

Thanks Alice! One evening I was making up songs, and this idea came to me. And within a few minutes, I realized it was way too big a story to fit into a song, so the next day I started writing it down. I don’t know where the idea came from, but I”m glad you liked it 🙂

Hi again I was wondering how long it take for you to write puddly penguins and really songs in general

The BOOK Puddly the Penguin took me about two years, off and on. The song was maybe 30 minutes or less to write. Some songs come to me pretty fast, most take a few days or so of coming back to them a few times, and some take coming back to them for weeks or months or once in a while YEARS…

Please please please get this to Pixar!!! This book is enchanting, hilarious, and filled with life lessons. I randomly started this book as a bedtime story and it is by far the biggest winner of all.

Thanks a lot Jake. It’s great to hear you liked it. If it isn’t too much trouble, and you are able to, it would be GREAT if you could put that or a comment like it on the customer comment section of the book’s page of Amazon.com. But if not, i really appreciate you taking the time to write your comment here. THANKS! 🙂 ~Bryant

I was teaching my 2nd graders and trying to have them understand the concept of being able to buy a book now a days on a kindle versus driving to the bookstore. We randomly chose your book to download and read! I have been super impressed what it has done in my classroom. We’ve read it off and on for awhile and my students behavior has positively increased. They have been able to connect with Puddly and Splashers, (have tears in their eyes, talk about life lessons, understand character) and are enjoying reading with expression from my Kindle. We are hoping to finish it up before the end of the year (next week). It’s been an awesome discovery and I wish you the best of luck with future endeavors!
