    Ouch, ny fingers may bleed if I play A’s and D’s for so long. Any way I could use a capo and use… well, not silver-stringed chords?

    Just use barre chords. Both A and D are right there at the fifth fret.

    the kidz love to sing this song, its well uplifting. just get the right melody and the chord changes fall good into place.

    capo at two and play a C shape and G shape

    you can transpose it to any scale just by using the 1st and 5th note… (C-G; D-A; E-B… and so on… find what feels better for your voice/fingers…)
