A few years ago I was singing at a birthday party for a friend’s 4 year old. For one song, I asked the birthday boy to give me a topic to sing about. He said “Sing about my teddy bear, Honey Bear”. And a rough draft of this song came out.

i think that song is very very very very very cutee..and it made me cry so i think it might be a little to emotional to be on this website for little kids…does anyone else agree with me?…but i do think this is sooooo PRETTY!!! and it has a lot of meaning if you think about it…so when your listening to this song think about what your listening to…it might make you cry just as much as it made me and my friend cry…and we dont cry that much at songs…but this was one of the cutest songs ive listened to today…so for all of those people who havent listened to this song ever or just today YOU BETTER LISTEN TO IT….got it!!..glad you agree..and thanks for reading my comment!!<3

It’s a computer processing effect. The recording is played faster, thus the sound waves move faster and sound higher. If you listen closely, you can hear that his guitar is also effected by this.

My Mom and I both love “Honey Bear.” One of us will mess up or do something wrong throughout the day, and the other will say, “I don’t care, there’s sunshine in my heart, it’s always there…” This song has a great message and is so cute and catchy. I also have always collected teddy bears and it fits in well with my personality.

This song always makes me tear up. I’m a foster parent and we had a 4-month old placed with us over the summer. He was a sweet kid who was half Samoan and huge (not fat) for his age. He really was a sweet kid.
The last month he was here, we were transitioning him to live with his aunt. So we basically had dual custody of him. He loved this video when we played it and it now rings true. He was my little Honey Bear and the lyrics are meaningful now. “Getting dressed for a new day — I hope it goes my way” just sticks with me since he was getting ready to start a new life. All the mistakes Honey Bear makes in the song? That was like him, a baby who was a bit big for his age who was like a bull in a china shop. Everything about the “sunshine inside of me” is the love we have for him that will always exist. No matter where life takes him and whatever he does, my wife and I will always love him.
The lyric “still when I feel like crying and I can’t find the sun, I know it’s always shining and I’ll feel it when the rain is done” means so much to me. It goes both ways. If either of us are sad, the sun is always shining on both of us and we’ll feel it again when the sadness is over.

Just bought Duck songs,1,2 and 3 and Honey Bear from iTunes. Best purchase ever. I love these songs particularly Honey Bear. It gives me a great boost whenever I hear it and I sing it to my little one also and she loves your songs too.
