Just bought Duck songs,1,2 and 3 and Honey Bear from iTunes. Best purchase ever. I love these songs particularly Honey Bear. It gives me a great boost whenever I hear it and I sing it to my little one also and she loves your songs too.
Keep doing what you do, because it makes so many people happy young and old.

This song always makes me tear up. I’m a foster parent and we had a 4-month old placed with us over the summer. He was a sweet kid who was half Samoan and huge (not fat) for his age. He really was a sweet kid.

The last month he was here, we were transitioning him to live with his aunt. So we basically had dual custody of him. He loved this video when we played it and it now rings true. He was my little Honey Bear and the lyrics are meaningful now. “Getting dressed for a new day — I hope it goes my way” just sticks with me since he was getting ready to start a new life. All the mistakes Honey Bear makes in the song? That was like him, a baby who was a bit big for his age who was like a bull in a china shop. Everything about the “sunshine inside of me” is the love we have for him that will always exist. No matter where life takes him and whatever he does, my wife and I will always love him.

The lyric “still when I feel like crying and I can’t find the sun, I know it’s always shining and I’ll feel it when the rain is done” means so much to me. It goes both ways. If either of us are sad, the sun is always shining on both of us and we’ll feel it again when the sadness is over.
