I wrote this song a couple of days before Valentine’s Day, 2009, and recorded the acoustic version (below) with my little hand held recorder to get it online by Valentine’s. (I was house sitting at the time, and every time I was almost done, a cat would jump on the table, or a dog would bark. It took a lot of tries…)
It’s about a boy who makes a special Valentine’s Day card for a girl he likes, but through a mix up, it ends up going to his best friend, Christy. What happens next is what Valentine’s Day is for. Here are the chords and lyrics, and here’s the original acoustic Youtube video. (This version is on now itunes, on the Extras cd).
