A Better Way. For Parkland

Prince Ray

Prince Ray is a short, happy little singalong song about a young prince who goes outside to play one day, and meets an unusual looking gray blue Jay.

Here are the audio and Youtube Video. Under that are the guitar tabs/chords and lyrics

Song by Bryant Oden

Prince Ray: Words and Chords (Use a capo on guitar as needed to find the range best for your voice).

G                  C
Long ago and far away
D                                       G
There was a prince named Prince Ray
G                     C
And one day young Prince Ray
D                      G
Went outside to run and play
G                       C
Then Prince Ray saw a blue jay
D                               G
But that blue jay wasn’t blue but gray
G                                  C
Young Prince Ray said Hey Blue Jay
D                                  G
Why aren’t you blue why are you gray?
G                                C
The gray blue jay said hey Prince Ray
D                                                   G
There’s so many colors and they’re all okay
G                                     C
It’s nice to be different I’m glad that I’m gray
D                                               G
Now would you like to play with a gray blue jay
G                               C
So Prince Ray and the Gray Blue Jay
D                    G
They did play the whole day
G                                C
And that is the story of young Prince Ray
D                     G
Long ago and far away

hey, Bryant is that you whisleing. also, do you write your songs by your self, or did someone help you?

  15. Bryant Says:
    May 10th, 2011 at 4:42 pm

Yup, that’s whistling. I write and sing all the songs. I play the guitar (and whistle) but if you hear other instruments those are other people, usually on keyboard. The whistling on “The Planet Song” is a keyboard. All the rest is me.
